Summit Fit Dojo Fitness Kickboxing is our exciting and innovative, fat burning, small group fitness kickboxing session that is a little different than your normal aerobic and strength training classes from big box gyms. We've actually taken the workouts from professional fighters and athletes in combat sports, and applied them to our fitness kickboxing classes.
But we left the bumps and bruises to the professionals!During every session you will have the opportunity to burn as much as 750 calories and develop lean and toned muscles with our unique strength training exercises, as well as learn fundamental combative movements such as American Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Boxing and Self-Defense while hitting a free-standing bag. The best part... you DO NOT need to have previous martial arts experience because you will be learning from a highly qualified fitness kickboxing coach that has been trained by Head Coach & Owner, Javier Lozano Jr. Coach Javier has been training in the martial arts for over 23 years, holds a 3rd Degree Black Belt, and is a former World Champion fighter. It's not that we have some sort of super secret exercise or techniques we use during every training session. It's because every workout is so unique and different, that even our clients have no idea what they will be training on next. Why? Variety, it's the spice of life, and it's no different with fitness. We vary our fitness kickboxing sessions so much that it's almost impossible to get bored and know exactly what we plan on doing next. In addition, it does not allow for your muscles to plateau due to continuous repetition. However, to give you an idea, it's not uncommon to go about 2 to 3 minutes for 8 to 10 rounds on the free standing heavy bag, throwing all sorts of crushing punches, powerful kicks, lethal strikes, and effectiveblocks. Then, 45-minutes later, you'll be smiling, with your face nicely flush, sweat dripping down your face and through your shirt... knowing that you probably trained harder than someone else at a big box gym who spent 1 1/2 hours on the elliptical or treadmill.
