You must have a purpose to help you stay motivated while working towards your goal. You must have a purpose to help you stay motivated while working towards your goal. We talk a lot in our workouts about vision and purpose.  Let me ask you a question, if you were to jump in the car and head out on a road trip would you not first plan out a course. You would map out some landmarks along the way so you knew how far you had gone, or how far you still needed to drive to reach your final destination.  You might even plan out an alternate route as a backup….just in case. This same type of planning and vision is necessary for your fitness and nutrition routine.  You need to know why you are putting forth the effort in the first place!  There is no wrong answer here….”what is your purpose”? Do you want to lose weight to fit into a certain outfit?  Do you want to have more energy to play with your kids or grandkids?  Do you want to build long lean muscle and improve your strength? In order to be successful and stick with your fitness and nutrition routine, you must have a reason…a purpose.  You must keep it in mind throughout your workouts and your meal times.  If you don’t, then how do you know where you are headed? Having a purpose and direction allows you to celebrate the small successes along the way, and allows you to stay self motivated to continue to push yourself to meet that final goal. Along your path your goals may change, and that’s okay.  Just remember to have a reason behind everything you do.  Make it as specific as possible – and stick to it!   “You were put on this earth to achieve your greatest self, to live out your purpose, and to do it fearlessly.” ?
